Buyer I sent $350.00 for a teacup yorkie and had contact with david.howard12@yahoo.com and we sent $350.00 western union and was promised a puppy and went to the airport to retrieve the puppy and she was not there when we got home to find out that I had received a email requesting more money and that we was not going to be getting a puppy. I had originally had found this add in the daily paper. ______________________________ Buyer I was scammed for two yorkie puppies that were suppose to be free. The ad was in our local newspaper. I e-mailed sam.leonards01@googlemail.com. Got this message from The House of the Lord. Same pitiful story about them being missionaries and the weather being bad in Nigeria. I felt sorry for the dogs and not knowing of this kinda of scam I went through with the deal. But they kept coming for more money. feranadzpetdelivery@expressivemail.com said I needed money for shipping taxes in London. The whole deal cost me$1600 for free puppies I never received. Do you know that about every week or so the newspaper runs ads for puppies that are from this Nigerian scam group.I check them out and call the paper every time to get it taken out. I hope I can save some other person from these people. ______________________________ Buyer I was on the verge of being scammed. This would have been the second time. I was looking for a teacup puppy online and seen an ad. I emailed the lady about the teacup yorkie puppies and she emailed me back telling me that she had already sold the puppies, but I emailed her just in time because the person she sold them to was unable to care for them anymore because she was doing missionary work in West Africa. She told me to email the lady and tell her that she referred me to her, but I had second thoughts about it so I did not email her. I did and of course this Sandra gave Lisa a great reference. Lisa sent me the information to money gram her the money to Nigera. Her name was Lisa Smith. After I sent the money she called me saying that she had discovered that she needed a shipping crate to ship the pup and that she would try to get one then she calls me a day later saying that I would need to send her $300 so she could buy crate. I told her I didn't have it and she said she could see if anyone at her church would give her money. She called me back saying she could only get $100 and that I needed to see about getting the rest. I was already sure by now that it was a scam. I told her I could not get the money and that either she find a way to send pup or give me my money back. She called me two or three more times trying to get money from me even having a man who was supposedly her travel agent trying to get me to send the money. I told them no thta I just wanted my money back and I emailed Lisa Smith telling her tnat either I get my money back or I would go to the police and of course, I haven't heard from her again. Now I am out $400 and I wanted to warn people even though if they are like me they aren't going to think to look up scams before looking to buy a dog. ___________________________ I inquired on a Maltese late yesterday afternoon. This morning, I had received a response, and I replied. After the second email, I began getting curious. The gentleman was a little too eager to give up his "baby". When he called, he was insistent upon the "shipping fee" from Nigeria to my home in Portland, but was not concerned about the other $200 in "adoption fees". I had also checked my computer for the time zones and current time in Lagos, and his response when I asked him what time it was turned out to be 2 hours shy of the time showing on the World Clock. Fortunately, I had the excuse of "My Husband said he is not comfortable sending money for something he can't physically pick up today" left in my back pocket! The correspondence went as followed... Buyer Mark, I am typing with my sister (she lives in Bakersfield, CA) about the pup. We are trying to see if we have the money to have her shipped right away. At the time being, I could cover one or the other without too much trouble, but both the shipping and the cost of the baby would be hard on our pocketbook this payday (darn cost of gas keeps pushing up the price of groceries!) and would not be something I can do until next payday, which is the 20th. I told him I didn't have the money. And he insisted I send it so she could come to a good home, I still told him I didn't have it. I was then sent an email from someone else claiming that they were going to report me to the police for trying to buy a dog online, I then told them I contacte the local police and a lawyer. They told me that they wanted my lawyers name and information. I'm still getting emails from this person claiming theyare going to report me, what the heck are they going to report me for they are the one's who took my money! _________________________________ Bulldog Scam About two months ago I went online to search for an English Bulldog. When confronted with my suspicion of fraud, I never heard from this person again and have not received a refund. It was a hard lesson to learn, and, an embarrassing one.
